1.1 About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the HiCoach platform (“Platform”), including the HiCoach mobile application and website, operated by HiCoach Pte. Ltd. (UEN: 202426133D) (“HiCoach,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a company incorporated in Singapore.
1.2 Agreement to Terms
By accessing, downloading, or using the HiCoach Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
1.3 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to register as a Coach on the Platform. Students under 18 may use the Platform with parental or guardian consent.
1.4 Account Types
The Platform offers two types of user accounts:
Coach Accounts: For tennis coaches offering coaching services.
Student Accounts: For individuals seeking tennis coaching services.
1.5 Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the Platform. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
“Platform”: means the HiCoach mobile application, website, and all related services.
“Coach”: means a registered tennis coach offering services through the Platform.
“Student”: means a registered user seeking tennis coaching services.
“Session”: means a tennis coaching session booked through the Platform.
“Session Fee”: means the amount charged by the Coach for a Session.
“Platform Fee”: means the commission charged by HiCoach (8% for Coaches, [X%] for Students).
“Hot Slots”: means the feature allowing Coaches to broadcast available time slots.
“Package”: means a bundle of prepaid lessons purchased by a Student.
“Verified Badge”: means the verification status granted to Coaches meeting specific criteria.
3.1.1 To register as a Coach, you must:
Be at least 18 years old.
Possess valid coaching qualifications.
Submit accurate information about your credentials, experience, and background.
Provide valid identification documents.
Consent to background verification checks.
3.1.2 You represent and warrant that all information provided is true, accurate, and complete.
3.2.1 HiCoach may grant a “Verified Badge” to Coaches who meet specific criteria including but not limited to:
Competition history verification (semi-professional level or higher).
ATP/ITF/WTA ranking verification (where applicable).
Coaching certification validation.
Background screening completion.
Minimum performance standards.
3.2.2 The Verified Badge may be revoked at any time if criteria are no longer met or if Coach violates these Terms.
3.3.1 Coaches have full discretion to set their Session Fees within the Platform’s minimum rate requirements ($60/hour minimum).
3.3.2 Coaches may create Package offerings with custom pricing and discount structures.
3.3.3 Once a Session is booked, the agreed rate cannot be changed.
3.4.1 HiCoach charges Coaches a Platform Fee of 8% of the Session Fee.
3.4.2 The Platform Fee is deducted automatically before payment is transferred to the Coach’s bank account.
3.4.3 Coaches receive 92% of their stated Session Fee.
Example: Coach charges $120/hour → Coach receives $110.40 (after 8% Platform Fee of $9.60).
3.4.4 Platform Fees apply to all payments including:
Completed Sessions
Cancellation compensation payments
Weather protection payments
Package purchases
3.4.5 There are no additional fees, setup fees, monthly subscriptions, or hidden charges.
3.5.1 Coaches must maintain accurate availability on the Platform.
3.5.2 Coaches may use the “Dynamic Scheduling” feature to set availability ranges, which the Platform will automatically divide into bookable time slots.
3.5.3 Coaches may set average travel time, and the Platform will adjust scheduling accordingly.
3.5.4 Coaches may use “Hot Slots” to broadcast available time slots to nearby Students.
3.6.1 Coaches have 12 hours to accept or decline a booking request.
3.6.2 Coaches may decline bookings for any reason without penalty.
3.6.3 Coaches may enable “Auto-Accept” for bookings that meet their specified criteria.
3.7.1 Cancellations More Than 24 Hours Before Session:
Coach may cancel freely with no penalty.
Student receives full refund automatically.
No impact on Coach’s profile or standing.
3.7.2 Cancellations Less Than 24 Hours Before Session:
Coach may cancel if necessary (emergency, illness, etc.).
Student receives full refund automatically.
Coach receives 1 penalty point.
3.7.3 Penalty Point System:
1-4 penalty points: No impact.
5 penalty points accumulated: Coach profile removed from public search listings for 1 month.
During suspension: Existing students can still book the Coach directly.
After 1 month: Profile automatically reinstated and penalty points reset to 0.
3.8.1 Payment Timeline:
Student pays when booking (Session Fee + Student Platform Fee).
Payment held in escrow until Session completion.
After Session completion and confirmation, payment released to Coach.
Payment transferred to Coach’s registered bank account within 24 hours (business days).
3.8.2 Payment Methods:
Direct bank transfer to Singapore bank account.
PayNow (where available).
3.8.3 Automatic Payment Release:
If Student does not confirm Session within 24 hours of completion, payment auto-releases to Coach.
3.8.4 Tax Obligations:
Coaches are solely responsible for reporting income and paying applicable taxes. HiCoach provides monthly earning summaries for tax documentation.
3.9.1 Student Cancellations More Than 24 Hours Before Session:
Student receives full refund.
Coach receives $0 (slot reopens for rebooking).
3.9.2 Student Cancellations Less Than 24 Hours Before Session:
Student charged 100% of Session Fee.
Coach receives 100% of their rate (minus Platform Fee).
Example: $120 session → Coach receives $110.40.
3.9.3 Student No-Shows:
Student charged 100% of Session Fee.
Coach receives 100% of their rate (minus Platform Fee).
3.10.1 Weather Cancellation Before Session Starts:
Either party may cancel due to unsafe weather conditions.
Student receives 1 credit to reschedule.
Coach receives 100% payment (minus Platform Fee).
Free rescheduling within reasonable timeframe.
3.10.2 Weather Interruption During Session:
If weather forces early end, payment is prorated to nearest half hour based on actual time coached.
Prorating Examples:
2-hour session (1pm-3pm), rain at 1:20pm → Counted as 30 minutes → Coach receives 0.5x hourly rate.
2-hour session (1pm-3pm), rain at 1:45pm → Counted as 1 hour → Coach receives 1x hourly rate.
2-hour session (1pm-3pm), rain at 2:20pm → Counted as 1.5 hours → Coach receives 1.5x hourly rate.
2-hour session (1pm-3pm), rain at 2:50pm → Counted as 2 hours → Coach receives full 2x hourly rate.
3.10.3 Weather Determination:
Both parties must reasonably agree weather is unsafe. Platform may review local weather data if dispute arises. Valid weather conditions include: heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning, extreme heat advisories, unsafe court conditions.
3.11.1 Coaches may create lesson Packages (e.g., 10 lessons, 20 lessons, custom amounts).
3.11.2 Coaches set:
Package size (number of lessons).
Total hours.
Package price (including optional discounts).
3.11.3 When Student purchases Package:
Student pays full amount upfront.
Payment held in escrow.
After each completed Session, Coach’s payment for that Session releases.
Payment releases session-by-session, not as lump sum.
3.11.4 Package Cancellation:
If Student cancels Package mid-way:
Coach keeps payment for all completed Sessions.
Student refunded for unused Sessions.
Example: 10-session Package, 6 completed, Student cancels → Coach keeps payment for 6 Sessions, Student refunded for 4 remaining.
3.12.1 Students may book recurring Sessions (e.g., “Every Tuesday 5pm”).
3.12.2 Recurring Sessions continue perpetually until either party cancels the arrangement.
3.12.3 Either party may cancel recurring arrangement at any time with notification.
3.12.4 Individual recurring Sessions are subject to standard cancellation policies.
3.12.5 Cancelling one individual Session does not cancel the entire recurring arrangement.
3.13.1 Coaches must:
Provide coaching services professionally and safely.
Arrive on time for all Sessions.
Maintain valid coaching credentials.
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
Maintain appropriate insurance coverage.
Update availability accurately.
Respond to booking requests within 12 hours.
Treat Students respectfully.
3.13.2 Coaches must not:
Discriminate against Students based on protected characteristics.
Engage in inappropriate conduct.
Request off-platform payments.
Share Student personal information without consent.
Misrepresent qualifications or credentials.
3.14.1 Coaches are independent contractors, not employees of HiCoach.
3.14.2 Coaches are solely responsible for:
Their own actions during Sessions.
Injuries to Students during Sessions.
Equipment and facility safety.
Obtaining appropriate liability insurance.
Compliance with coaching regulations.
3.14.3 HiCoach provides platform services only and is not responsible for:
Coach conduct or performance.
Session quality.
Injuries or damages during Sessions.
Coach qualifications or fitness to coach.
3.15.1 HiCoach may suspend or terminate a Coach account for:
Violation of these Terms.
Fraudulent activity.
Misrepresentation of credentials.
Inappropriate conduct.
Repeated cancellations or no-shows.
Student complaints or safety concerns.
Any reason at HiCoach’s sole discretion.
3.15.2 Upon termination:
Coach’s profile removed from Platform.
Pending payments for completed Sessions will be processed.
Future bookings will be cancelled with full refunds to Students.
4.1.1 To register as a Student, you must:
Provide accurate personal information.
Be at least 18 years old (or have parental/guardian consent if under 18).
Agree to these Terms.
4.1.2 Parents/guardians registering for minors are responsible for the minor’s use of the Platform.
4.2.1 Students may browse Coach profiles and request bookings.
4.2.2 Bookings are confirmed when Coach accepts the request.
4.2.3 Students must pay full Session Fee + Platform Fee at time of booking.
4.3.1 HiCoach charges Students a Platform Fee of [X%] of the Session Fee [OR fixed amount].
4.3.2 Total payment = Coach’s Session Fee + Student Platform Fee.
Example: Coach charges $120 → Student pays $120 + [Student fee] = $[Total].
4.4.1 Cancellations More Than 24 Hours Before Session:
Student receives full refund.
Coach’s time slot reopens for rebooking.
No penalties.
4.4.2 Cancellations Less Than 24 Hours Before Session:
Student charged 100% of Session Fee + Platform Fee.
No refund issued.
Coach receives full compensation.
4.4.3 No-Shows:
Student charged 100% of Session Fee + Platform Fee.
No refund issued.
Coach receives full compensation.
Student account may be flagged for repeated no-shows.
4.5.1 Weather Cancellation Before Session:
Student receives 1 credit to reschedule with the same Coach.
Credit must be used within [6 weeks].
No cash refund; credit only.
4.5.2 Weather Interruption During Session:
Payment prorated based on time coached (to nearest 30 minutes).
Student receives credit for unused portion to reschedule.
4.6.1 Students may purchase lesson Packages from Coaches.
4.6.2 Package payment is processed in full at time of purchase.
4.6.3 Students use Package credits to book individual Sessions with the Coach.
4.6.4 Sessions must be booked and completed with the Coach from whom Package was purchased.
4.6.5 Package Cancellation:
Students may cancel unused Package at any time.
Refund issued for unused Sessions only.
Completed Sessions are non-refundable.
Example: 10-session Package, 6 completed, Student cancels → Refund for 4 unused Sessions.
4.6.6 Package credits expire [6 months/never] after purchase.
4.7.1 Students may book recurring Sessions with a Coach.
4.7.2 Recurring Sessions continue until Student cancels the arrangement.
4.7.3 Student may cancel recurring arrangement at any time without notice requirement.
4.7.4 Individual Sessions within recurring arrangement are subject to standard 24-hour cancellation policy.
4.8.1 Students must:
Arrive on time for Sessions.
Treat Coaches respectfully.
Follow Coach’s instructions during Sessions.
Pay all fees when due.
Provide accurate booking information.
4.8.2 Students must not:
Request off-platform payments.
Share Coach personal information without consent.
Engage in inappropriate conduct.
Make false complaints or reviews.
4.9.1 Students participate in tennis coaching at their own risk.
4.9.2 Students are responsible for:
Their own safety during Sessions.
Disclosing relevant health conditions to Coaches.
Obtaining appropriate medical clearance if needed.
Following Coach safety instructions.
4.10.1 HiCoach may suspend or terminate a Student account for:
